Go Red for Woman Campaign
The Go Red for Women (GRFW) is an international awareness campaign dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and control of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women. The American Heart Association initiated the GRFW movement in 2004, to empower women with the right knowledge and essential tools to take charge of their heart health. The World Heart Federation, together with its members, has taken the campaign global to highlight the fact that heart disease and stroke combined, is the No. 1 killer of women.
Pledge Your Heart Walk 2018 is a non-competitive 3km and 5.5km walk, organised by the Singapore Heart Foundation in conjunction with the GRFW campaign in raising awareness for CVD among women. To motivate physical activity and heart-healthy living, Pledge Your Heart Walk 2018 promises a fun and rewarding experience for the entire family. In addition, participants (kids and adults) are strongly encouraged to get into the spirit and dress up in the pledge tees, wear RED accessories or even come in red dresses - if you are feeling adventurous!
Heart disease & stroke combined, is the No. 1 killer of women but many women are unaware of this fact. Thus, this event also aims to encourage and remind women, who are mostly the gatekeepers of the household, to take care of their own health first by staying fit and healthy through exercising. We would also like to encourage all women to participate with their friends and family, so that they can stay fit and healthy together!

Equip all participants with skills and tools to fight against cardiovascular diseases
Educate women on their risks and prevention for cardiovascular diseases
Encourage women to look after their health by incorporating exercise into their daily routine, eating right and going for regular health screenings
Motivate all participants, especially women, to make a pledge and work towards their health goal(s)
